Hunting, shooting and fishing trips Armenia

Hunting and fishing trips in Armenia: known for stalking the bezoar ibex in challenging terrains, lake fishing for the rare sevan trout

In a world of its own, Armenia is a collection of mountainous masses growing ever tall amidst plains and valleys of green. The Caucasian Mountains make for a rugged and challenging hunting terrain. Given the vastness and distance, small drives or stalking are the preferred hunting techniques.

High in the mountains, balancing on the steep rocks, the bezoar ibex is a greatly coveted trophy. Its striking silhouette exposes its large horns, far across the mountains. Packed with rich wildlife, Armenia gifts mouflon, wild boar and roe deer, but for those of growing desire for unique and rare trophies, the golden jackal or Asian swamp cat are beautiful specimens. The Sevan lake carries the same wonders as its neighboring mountains and is reigned by sevan trout, locally called the Prince Fish.

The lake is the largest freshwater source in Armenia and with this come hundreds and hundreds of fish such as crayfish, siga and carp. To continue Armenia's delicate yet bountiful collection of fish, Araks river holds more local fish like loko, karas, tarap, tolstolobik, and karmrakhait. The river streams lightly between the white-tipped mountains bringing Armenia's renown stalking and fishing grounds together.
