The country of Ethiopia has warm tones of brick and red spread across its horizon, heightened by mountains or darkened into shadow green as it crosses the trees dotted around the Great Rift Valley. Bordered by Kenya and Sudan, Ethiopia has plateaus of over 5,000 feet in which the magnificent mountain nyala awaits for the worthy hunter.Ethiopia has utopian lands of wonder where species are endless from the Nile buffalo and the largest lesser kudu in Africa, to the Danakil Desert where the soemmerring’s gazelle wanders, unique to Ethiopia .

The mountain remains the permanent interest of hunters but there are other species that cannot be found anywhere else like the Beisa oryx and menelik’s gazelle. The Bale Mountains are central to the wildlife in Ethiopia, not only home to huge herds of mountain nyala but there are also thousands of trout waiting in the rivers. Down the rivers are huge barbus and Nile perch thrusting and waiting for inquisitive anglers.

There are over 200 species of freshwater fish like catfish and tiger fish swimming over and under each other, Ethiopia as an excess of rivers and lakes perfect for fly-fishing surrounded by the incomparable sublime scenery.
