Annahootz Alaskan Adventures

The owner says

Welcome to Annahootz Alaskan Adventures! We offer world-class adventures in an incredibly stunning landscape. You won't leave the same person once you are touched by this place we call home. Come experience all that we have to offer: black bear and brown bear hunting, sport fishing, and sightseeing!

About

Your host at Annahootz Alaskan Adventures: Jim Phillips, Guide. Jim Phillips, Alaskan registered guide, shares his local knowledge gained through over 45 years of hunting, hiking, camping and fishing in Southeast Alaska. Hold your breath in awe as the morning sunrise picks the colors out of a bear's fur as he walks along the water's edge. Watch, hidden, as a mountain goat nimbly picks its way across a rocky slope. On our guided Alaskan hunting, fishing and sightseeing excursions on our 29' Olympic Cruiser with Heated Cabin you will experience an Alaska that can't be seen from a cruise liner, a plane or a two-hour tour. There is nothing to compare with our overnight camping trips, where early mornings can find you snuggled down with a cup of hot coffee, while watching deer tiptoe through the forest in search of delicate grass and flowers for their morning breakfast.

Hunting and Fishing experience at Annahootz Alaskan Adventures: From Sitka you will travel to some of the most remote and highly populated bear islands in the world. Our hunts are often boat-based, spotting and stalking trophy animals, such as Black and Brown Bears, Sitka Black-Tailed Deer, and Mountain Goats, on the shores and mountains of Southeast Alaska's Baranof and Prince of Wales Islands. Here the waters team with halibut, salmon, crab and shrimp, bringing your prey to you. The beauty and abundance of wild life will make this hunt a unique wilderness adventure. Click here for quick link country guide.

Annahootz Alaskan Adventures also offers trophy-class sport fishing for saltwater and freshwater fish on our 29 Foot Olympic Cruiser with Heated Cabin . All five species of salmon, halibut and over 20 kinds of rockfish can be caught in local waters. Fly fishing and spin casting for fresh sea-run Coho, Dog and Pink salmon in Alaska streams is the experience of a lifetime. Fresh water fishing for Dolly Vardon, Rainbow, Steelhead and Cutthroat trout is abundant in the Sitka Area. Click here for quick link country guide.
