The owner says

Fishing has always been an integral part of Bahamian life and it is the soul of Deep Water Cay. For years, anglers have been coming to Deep Water Cay to pursue bonefish, permit, pompano and more, to take their place among some of the world’s top fishermen – legends like Lefty Kreh, Flip Pallot and Chico Fernandez.

Well, now it’s your turn. Wade onto the flats alone or with your kids, or join one of our expert guides on a skiff, and create new fishing memories and stories to share for years to come.

Flats Fishing

With 250 square miles of flats surrounding the cay and a number of creeks and channels, the opportunities are bountiful. Deep Water Cay’s unique environment provides tidal variations of two hours, giving you maximum fishing time.

Offshore Fishing

If you’re interested in offshore, board our 33-foot World Cat for some serious deep-sea fishing, Hemingway style. At depths of nearly 750 feet, you can reel in wahoo, tuna, mahi mahi, billfish, and other species—and come back with your own fantastic tales.

Reef Fishing

Take the whole family—yes, even the kids—and reel in grouper, snapper and barracuda just a mile offshore. Whether just for fun or to catch the night’s meal, reef fishing is a great way to experience the outlying areas of Deep Water Cay. No experience is necessary.

Great Catches Make Great Stories

At Deep Water Cay it’s a time honored tradition to be awarded one of our coveted pins. Whether you catch your first bonefish or permit on the fly, or wrangle one of the elusive 10-pounders, these pins commemorate your catch and recognize the experience.
