After many years of careful conservation management and judicious planting, the home shoot enjoys a first class reputation. This was endorsed in 2012 by the Shooting Gazette, who placed the shoot within the 10 best Pheasant shoots in the country. Shooting takes place over some 6,000 acres of unspoilt, spectacular downland countryside that produces fast and challenging partridges in the early part of the season and the highest of pheasants during the rest of the season.
A limited number of driven days are let each season, where guns can enjoy unsurpassed shooting, delicious food and a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Close proximity to London and two international airports is welcomed by guests who appreciate the ease of access. There are also excellent local hotels for those wishing to extend their stay within the National Park.
