Barrow Heath has been associated with clay pigeon shooting for nearly 20 years.
In late November 2012 a new chapter for Barrow Heath evolved when Phil Moss took over after purchasing the existing equipment and securing a new lease for the ground.
In the last 12 months with lots of hard work, time and significant financial investment the ground has undergone a "whirlwind" transformation" from its previous basic facilities. There have been many improvements for its customers to enjoy including flushing toilets, a refurbished clubhouse complete with new carpets, furniture and catering facilities. The newly installed woodburner to keep the chill out during the cold winter months completes it.
Further improvements on the ground include:
The construction of new and exiting shooting stands for its sporting and FITASC layouts.
New fixed and mobile towers and raised platforms.
More than double the amount of clay pigeon traps enable shooters of all abilities to enjoy new and testing target presentations, icluding the sportrap pool shoot layout.
