NORTH CHESTHILL ESTATE IS A SMALL FAMILY ESTATE RUN ALONG TRADITIONAL LINES.
Our core activities are sheep and cattle farming, red ( and some roe deer) open hill stalking, salmon and trout fishing and which combine together throughout the year to provide a sustainable programme here in the highlands. Directly and indirectly the estate underwrites several families and numerous individuals who manage the various aspects of this diverse business in this fragile area of Scotland. We have recently created the environment to take on a full time employee-against the general trend in Scotland.
The main threat to this busness and its people is the overwhelming number of hillwalkers, especially those who choose to behave against our guidance, thus damaging wildlife, birds and animals, along with their young. We have a welfare remit to protect wildlife. So has the general pubilc.
