Part of Strathvaich lies within the BEINN DEARG Special Site of Scientific Interest. It extends 4,875 hectares to the west of the Lodge.
A Brief History
Strathvaich traditionally formed part of the MacKenzie family holdings and that of their clan chief the Earl of Cromarty
Strathvaich was created through several purchases by the Williams family, from Cornwall, who began by renting the Estate and put it together in it’s current form in 1886
