For 90 years, the A1 shooting Ground's heritage has always been to provide excellent clay pigeon shooting & coaching. The 40 acres inside the M25, just north of London, where the A1 shooting Ground is situated was first bought and used by Boss Guns. Boss used the land to test its guns to make sure they were of the highest quality.
In 1994 Claudio and Teresa Capaldo, took over the club and made it into what it is today. A new clubhouse was built, the English Sporting was expanded, Olympic Trap became available to shoot and more recently a Helice layout was put in place. Now the A1 Shooting Ground can boast in having the only automatic Helice layout in the country.
The business continues to grow and strive to offer improved facilities for its customers. Plans are now in place to build a bigger and better clubhouse and position the club in becoming one of the greatest target shooting clubs in England.
Claudio Capaldo’s passion for coaching and excellence led him to participate in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens as a national team coach.
He continues to provide guidance & coaching to many International Shooters from all over the World.
