Baobab safaris have access to the Gache Gache hunting concession.This area is located on the north eastern basin of lake Kariba. The area covers in excess of a 100 000 acres and is divided between the mountainous region, a flat woodland area and in the dry season, large flood plains created by the receding lake water. The camp consists of ethnic thatched chalets/bungalows. Chalets are comfortable with en-suite bathroom facilities, hot and cold shower, basin and flush toilet. The camp is powered with 12 V solar lighting. The main Lapa consists of lounge, bar and dining area with patio and splash pool. The well equipped bush kitchen provides excellent home cooked meals. The drive from Harare Main is a little over 6 hours, whilst a Charter Flight is approximately 1 hour and 15mins. A well maintained landing strip is within 2kms drive of the camp. Apart from the exciting elephant and buffalo hunting in the area some of the other main attractions that the area has to offer is the possibility of hunting huge 14 foot crocodiles and hippos on land.
