Who We Are
Established in 1966 Bolton Gun Club started with just a small clay shoot located in a member’s farmyard, and a rifle and pistol range located in a nearby quarry. Over the years Bolton Gun Club has grown and is now based at three shooting grounds in North West England. As such we now own our rifle range and have expanded our clay pigeon shoot. In addition to this we have now also established an indoor airgun range, so we have something for everyone.
These three club facilities allow our members more flexibility. They not only have the chance to be a member and shoot at our excellent clay pigeon facilities; but also they can join and shoot on our 25 metre rifle and pistol range where members have the opportunity to shoot anything from small bore rifle to black powder pistols.
The Air Gun Section formed in Feb 2013 will cater for members who wish to use air guns on our indoor range. This section is open to new shooters who are looking for their first step into shooting sports as well as for our seasoned air gunners looking to join a friendly group of like minded shooters with competitions being run throughout the year.
As a private members club with a not for profit ideal, Bolton Gun Club is committed to providing modern shooting facilities for the benefit of both its current members and those to follow.
