Constable burton hall is not only home to the wyvill family, it is also the hub of a modern agricultural and sporting estate covering 3,000 acres in the yorkshire dales. Comprising tenanted farms, modern arable and dairy farming, 800 acres of woodland and a well-established pheasant, partridge and wildfowl shoot, the constable burton estate is a vital contributor to the local economy. Due to its close proximity to the yorkshire moors, constable burton has long been the accommodation of choice for the most discerning of sporting clients who seek the pinnacle of british wing shooting, the grouse. Over the last three decades, the wyvill family has developed long-standing personal relationships across the many moors that make up the dales. The estate was one of the first in the country to recognise the benefits of commercial shooting opportunities to the local economy and it has spent the last thirty years developing and maintaining an excellent driven shoot. The wyvills have an outstanding track record for providing high quality shooting alongside the finest accommodation and hospitality. Excellent topography and stunning surroundings provide the perfect back drop to a wonderful day’s sport. We also offer an extensive range of estate activities including clay shooting, horse riding, cycling, guided walks, wildlife and birdwatching and we are minutes away from some first rate golf courses as well.
