Emmett’s Grange offers an excellent opportunity to experience an exhilarating days shooting on a traditional Exmoor Estate. Situated in the heart of Exmoor, Emmett’s Grange along with the nearby Litton Farm cover more than 2,000 acres of moorland, snipe bogs, small woods and various habitats.
The events at the Grange are based on walk-up shooting. The day begins at Emmett’s with a briefing from a knowledgeable guide before setting off for the first moorland drive. After experiencing a couple of drives on the Estate guests will travel to Emmett’s sister farm, which is only a short 10 minute car journey away. Once at Litton, guests can take part in pheasant drives.
Before heading off to the duck ponds for some excellent wild duck flighting, tea will be taken at Litton Farm, which enjoys some stunning views across the National Park.
Shooting at Emmett’s is all about providing a full days sport, the numbers are not huge but guests will be able to enjoy a stunning day out in breath-taking countryside.
Accommodation for parties shooting at Emmett’s is provided on a self-catering basis, although a chef can be recommended if required. The Grange can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 en-suite bedrooms and is a delightful place to sit back and relax with plenty of comfy rooms for watching TV, reading a book or just warming up beside the fire.
To get the most out of one of the Shooting Weekends at Emmett’s Grange, guests are advised to arrive on a Friday evening, Saturday will then be dedicated to shooting, before departing the Grange on Sunday.
Accommodation in also available at Litton Farm, which is a recently refurbished character farmhouse and can comfortably sleep up to 8 people in 4 rooms.
