I highly recommend Go Fishing Iceland if you are planning on fishing during your stay in this amazing country. Whether the purpose of your trip is fishing or like me, you try to work in a day of fishing wherever you go, these guys are here to help. Heimir was very helpful in planning my day on the water. He inquired about the type of experience I would like to have, provided me with several options based upon the timing of my visit as well as cost (a lot of outfitters overlook this aspect of an anglers decision). Suffice it to say that there were no unanswered questions prior to my arrival. The level of pre-trip communication was awesome.

I had a group of 6 that took a day trip outside of Reykjavik with Heimer and his co-guide Ari (not sure on the spelling there). They were great. The process of setting up the trip was simple and straightforward. Heimer was very responsive over email. It was a family trip so we had all levels of ability in the group and they were great with our tag along fishers and our more serious fly fishers. The lunch provided was more than adequate and they were both very friendly. I would (and probably will) enthusiastically recommend Heimer and Ari to any of my friends.

Thank you very much for a wonderful day of fishing on Holaa River. Our whole family really loved it, particularly our girls who caught Arctic Char for the first time. The equipment, the transportation and the choice of the fishing location was first class. Your knowledge, patience, and the extra efforts you made to ensure each of us all caught fish were really appreciated.

We were in Iceland in June 2016 and went fly fishing with Go Fishing Iceland on 3 separate days over a week's time. We fished for arctic char and brown trout in 3 distinctly different settings. Heimir was a terrific fishing guide for both of us, one of us experienced, the other considerably less so. We found him to be patient, knowledgable, and personable. He put us on to many fine fish. Additionally, he took us to some lovely non-fishing locations along the way, geysers, waterfalls, and the site of the first parliament, as well as giving us a great restaurant recommendation in Reykjavik. Highly recommended!!

I had two days fishing with Ari at Go Fishing Iceland. I luckily managed to catch two brown trout and ten arctic char. Ari is a great guide. He works very hard for the customer and I would recommend him to fishermen of all levels. Thanks again for a very memorable experience.
