In 1950, JAGD STIEDL was established in Vienna, Austria by legendary outfitter and international hunting icon, Johannes Stiedl II. JAGD STIEDL's original mission was simple and straight forward, but required a number of uncommon resources and relied heavily on Johannes' unique outfitting expertise. The goal was, and still is, to share the best hunting in Austria with the world's most passionate and discerning global sportsmen. Today, more than 60 years later, the JAGD STIEDL hunting and outfitting empire has grown to span several European countries. The company's headquarters, however, remain in Vienna. With an abundance of quality game and remarkably pristine wilderness, the hunting in Austria is arguably the most revered in all of Europe. It is with great pleasure that JAGD STIEDL invites you to join us for a hunting experience that is both priceless and peerless.
It goes without saying that the big game hunting in Austria is often the envy of other European countries. Beyond the extensive list of available game which includes red stag, wild boar, fallow deer, roe deer, mouflon, alpine ibex and alpine chamois, Austria's storied field traditions and unique customs have created a hunting culture admired by sportsmen worldwide. Though the main hunting season in Austria runs from September through the end of January, a number of big game opportunities are available year-round.
Although bird hunting in Austria is largely limited to stalk hunts for capercaillie and black cock, the neighboring countries of Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia offer a number of world-class wingshooting opportunities. Conveniently, JAGD STIELD's elite bird hunting estates in each of these countries are just a one to two-hour drive from central Vienna. JAGD STIEDL's legendary driven pheasant shooting programs can be combined with walk-up shooting and flighted duck hunting. Exclusive red-legged partridge shoots are available in Portugal and Spain.
