JOHN KOLVER SAFARIS operates on private land which has been in the Kolver family for four generations. It is our policy to provide each hunter with a safe and successful hunting experience.
Hunting takes place at the GROOTFONTEIN PRIVATE NATURE RESERVE, REPUBLIC of SOUTH AFRICA — Registered with the DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, TOURISM AND ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS in terms of the Biodiversity Act 10 of 2004 and in terms of Nature Conservation Ordinance No. 8 of 1969. Hunters are accommodated at MADIKELO LODGE – an exclusive safari lodge with tranquil surroundings and excellent food.
This region forms part of an inland plateau, rising more than one 1,300 meters (4,265 feet) above sea level. The natural landscape consists of gently undulating savanna grassland, Karoo scrub and Karoo vegetation, punctuated here and there by flat-topped mountains. Bush and tree growth are confined largely to river areas and rocky ridges.
A large variety of species are offered from the rich and diverse animal life found here – from the small Steenbok to the largest living antelope, the Eland. This is also home of the African Buffalo – regarded by many hunters as the most dangerous of the Big Five!
Our client’s needs are of utmost importance to us and for this reason we tailor-make our safaris to suit every client.
Come and experience a unique hunting adventure with memories that will last a life-time!
