Shoot PartyLexham Hall is a 4400 acre traditional and agricultural sporting estate situated in the Upper Nar Valley of West Norfolk. The landscape is untypical of Norfolk, with rolling partially hilly country and much effort has been put into using the topography to the best advantage; this produces some high and challenging pheasants. The Estate is centred round the Hall with its 18th century landscaped Park and historic woodlands. Since the Second World War, a number of farm woodlands and over 7 miles of shelter belts have been planted, partly to provide shelter for the farm but also with an eye to producing quality shooting.
Shoots are hosted by the owners, Neil and Anthea Foster. Apart from managing the Estate, Neil is a past High Sheriff of Norfolk and Anthea served as County Organiser of the National Gardens Scheme for 22 years, retiring in 2014. There are 5 private and 6 let days with all shoots run as private family days. A hot lunch and afternoon tea are served in the 18th Century Hall and transport is provided in a custom built shooting wagon. We meet at the back of the Hall and move off promptly, after coffee, at 9.30am. We aim for 200 bird pheasant days, a single handed Game Keeper is employed and there are at least 3 Pickers-Up. Guns are welcome to bring their own dogs.
Lexham Hall is renowned for its beautiful landscape, high quality sport and warm & generous hospitality.
