Oslo Fjord Boat Fishing

, Norway
Pollock, Atlantic salmon, Lingcod, King mackerel, Whitefish, Salmon, Haddock, Atlantic halibut, Other fish

Would you like to learn more about fishing in the Oslo fjord or just try for your dream fish? We offer guided tours in the Oslo fjord. The trip includes fuel, guiding and instruction. The trip should be booked as early as possible, preferably a week in advance. Fishing weekdays from 5pm (from March to October) and on the weekends (mornings or afternoons)We offer boat fishing trips around the Oslo, Baerum and Asker areas in the Oslo fiord. The main aim is to teach you how to catch fish using a few local common techniques. Jigging, spinning, trolling, bait-fishing and even fly-fishing trips can be arranged. As a kid, I used to sit at the local lake fishing or take trips down to the coast for sea fishing, while the others kids were playing football. Not knowing how to fish but seeing others around you catching fish was frustrating to say the least. Being an instructor in my day to day job is very beneficial now when helping both seasoned fishermen as well as beginners learn to fish our local waters. Having fished regularly all my life and especially in the Oslo fjord for over the last 25 years I've picked up many good hints and tips. Knowing where the fish are on what they bite on at the different times of year is invaluable. Fishing with light equipment is fantastic here and possible due to having little tide or current. So where other boat sea-fishing trips elsewhere often involve heavy and thick rods and line accompanied by 0.5kg lead just to get you to the fish, we catch fish on very light equipment (normal light river rods/reels and normally maximum 12 lb b.s. line). In this way, you feel like you are holding the fish by the tail! And, you don't have to worry about losing your breakfast. On the occasional day where the wind is very strong, we just move the boat to the lee side of the islands and fish there out of the wind.
