I've visited Parc De Launay on a number of occasions and can't thank Mr Trenchard enough for the hospitality I've been shown. The Parc is well kept and stocked. In my opinion it's a little hidden away gem of a place and well worth visiting during season. However if you wish to visit out of hunting season the accommodation on offer is fabulous and allows easy access to The Loire and it's wonderful vineyards.

My favourite shooting expedition over the last 12 years has been to Parc de Launey, owned and run by Mr Shaun Trenchard, and his wife Betty. I have recently returned from another successful hunt, and am pleased to report that everything continues at the highest possible standard. It is a physically beautiful place with mature woods and the backdrop of an ancient chateau. The Boar are plentiful and many are of great size. The huntsmen are great characters and like their Boar Hounds, are experienced and extremely enthusiastic. Boar hunting can be a very dangerous sport, but here the safety issues have all been addressed with sensible rules which do not inhibit the thrill. The creature comforts are also well catered for, with exceptional accommodation, wines, and cuisine. The on-site butchery ensures that you depart with a generous quantity of fresh boar meat to enjoy while planning your next visit.

December 2015 I have just returned from my latest visit to Parc de Launay for Boar hunting. I have shot Boar at Parc de Launay for the past 10 years, each time the hunt is a unique experience. Always conducted very safely and expertly organized with many opportunities to bag very large well presented Boar. The hunt lodge, food, wine and hospitality from both Shaun and Betty is second to none. None hunting guests are always made most welcome, my wife would not miss a trip to Parc de Launay for the world. A must for the novice or the most experienced Boar hunter. Peter and Bev Kay

I have hunted with Shaun and his team for 12 years now, normally making two trips per year. It is simply a stunning place, no shortage of good quality boar. The accommodation is fantastic, it has to be the finest hunting lodge in Europe with outstanding hospitality. If you have not experienced Parc de Launay, then get a trip booked, you will not be disappointed. It is such a professionally, friendly and safely run hunt where quality boar are guaranteed.

Greeted in a very professional way by our host. Given a welcome drink and taken on a short tour of the incredibly luxurious accommodation. Having hunted all over the world this is simply the best hunting lodge it has ever been my pleasure to experience. It was like staying at a top London hotel, but better. Beautifully decorated, themed, and pristine. The food was superb, the wine even better. The hunting itself was quite incredible. Plentiful massive boars, beautifully presented and challenging targets. We all had lots of shooting opportunities and easily reached a bag of 15 huge animals between 8 guns. The evenings were taken up sitting at the open fire, cognac in hand, reminiscing about the monster that got away. I would not hesitate in recommending Shaun and his team at Parc De Launay, but I would rather keep this little gem quiet! We will be back!

I have been twice to Parc de Launay, and had a great time on both occasions. Sean Trenchard makes the whole experience great fun, with very good hospitality, all in all a very exciting and above all safe. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone keen to try Wild Boar hunting.
