Great place for a Sable, Blue Duiker and Chobe Bushbuck. Other animals are available too. Ph knows the property VERY well. Facilities are good. Good food. No AC. Permanent tent on concrete foundation for sleeping. Safe place to go. I took a 42 inch sable with 10 inch bases. Bigger are there. The tracker saw Blue Duiker each time we went out for them. I only saw 2 and got one of them. Saw several good Chobe Bushbucks while there. I also took a Puku. Representative animal, but price was proper for the animal. In a couple of years they will have some very nice Lechwe as well as the Puku. I'd go back and hunt with them anytime. I have made several trips to Takeri Reserve and have returned from each one having enjoyed a fantastic trip, hunted well, viewed many species and thoroughly enjoyed the company around the camp fire each night. Having hunted the smaller species of antelope and spent many hours looking over fantastic some Sable, Eland and Lechwe, at the end of each trip, there seems to be a plan to return as soon as possible for the next. Patsy and her team are very good at making you feel welcome and they ensure everything goes smoothly. Definitely a place to consider for anyone considering a hunt on private land in Zambia.

the time l spent at takeri game reserve was with out a doubt the best African hunting experience i have enjoyed . out of three African adventures i have done so far the whole set up was relaxed , trouble free and an all round great hunt. lots of game and fair chase hard hunting. the P.H, trackers , skinners and all camp staff were all friendly professional and a hard working team . everything ran like a well oiled machine. after the hunt we enjoyed another five days tigerfishing down at kingfisher lodge on the lower zambezi. from the pickup at Lusaka airport , all the traveling , the accommodation and services provided nothing was too much for the team ,right up to seeing me off at the airport after the trip finished. I cant wait to get back there next year , for a second hunt ..........
