Tucked at the base of Mt. Lassen lies the small town of Chester, Northern California where the Sierra Nevada Mountains greet the Cascades. Lake Almanor is the hub of this milltown which captures the waters of the surrounding mountains providing an ecosystem teaming with Rainbow, Brown, Eagle Lake Trout and Small Mouth Bass. Forming the watershed numerous streams branch out all directions of the lake providing stream fishing with native trout. Whether a beginner or seasoned angler our company is prepared to outfit and guide you through the entire public and private waters of the Lake Almanor basin all in the shadows of Mt. Lassen.
The Lake Almanor Basin brings both Stillwater and Stream fly fishing within minutes of the shop. The Lake Almanor Fly Fishing Guides are carefully selected by owner Tom Mauymonier for their knowledge, experience, teaching capabilities and patience. We take great pride in our ability to guide anglers of all ages and abilities and the surrounding waters offer all levels of fishing. The passion is quickly evident in our team of guides and coupled with a low key approach we simply have fun.
