Thimbleby Shooting Ground lies in an unspoiled idyllic rural setting on the edge of the Thimbleby Estate in the North York Moors National Park.
Surrounded by thousands of acres of heath and woodlands, the area around the shooting ground has been described as one of the most beautiful in the North.
Founded in 1988 and set in beautiful rolling countryside within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, Thimbleby Shooting Ground enjoys an enviable location.
Thimbleby has grown to incorporate a wide range of challenging and entertaining layouts, from simulated high pheasants, crossing partridge, and bolting rabbits that even the experts sometimes miss!
We are the first ground in the UK to exclusively operate state of the art, wireless controlled traps, ensuring clays are consistently delivered. A simple to use card system allows customers to activate the traps whilst keeping track of the clays used. It enables solo shooters to enjoy a round by themselves or for two or more to share, whilst also making it simpler for us to change trap positions, providing more target variety for our regular customers.
