Simulated Game shooting at Ballynatray House and Estate offers the ultimate country sporting experience. The House is set in the heart of a historic 850 acre hunting and game estate and the picturesque landscape provides a spectacular backdrop .
A simulated game shoot day is the nearest one gets to a traditional driven shoot , out of season, substituting game birds for clay pidgeons. These shoots offer the same excitement, fun and spectacle of driven shoots at a fraction of the cost. The shoot can be shot individually or as a group to simulate a mini drive. The minimum numbers are 3/4 persons and the maximum number is 64 persons.
At the Ballynatray Shooting Academy , adult and teenager beginners and experienced shots are all catered for – male and female alike.
Simulated shoots are used by guests to learn how to shoot or just practice before going on a driven shoot and are also ideal for team building events.
The challenging clays are thrown by an automatic clay trap at varying heights and speeds, out of sight, in front of the line of guns, simulating the flight pattern of Duck, Partridge, Grouse, Woodcock and the highest Pheasant. A competition before the final drive concludes the morning or afternoon’s shooting.
